Week 7 – Decimal Art

Create a piece of beautiful art whilst exploring fractions, decimals and percentages.

Decimal Dog is in charge of the ship’s 100 stowaways –  he makes Decimal Art to remember which animals make up the 100.

Create your own Decimal Art
You can create your own piece of art by colouring a 100 square grid to create a picture or pattern then working out how much of the whole each colour represents as a decimal, a fraction and a percentage.

During this activity you will be:

  • Exploring fractions, decimals and percentages in a visual way
  • Interpreting data in a creative format
  • Improving your number work and problem solving skills
