Bonus activity – Rock Bites

Make your own rock bites! Bake rock cakes to eat, or create rocks using salt dough.

After a busy day searching for treasure, the Maths Mates decided to stop on some rocks for a rest.

But bitten bottoms soon made them realise they were sitting on termite nests!

During this activity you will be:

  • Measuring and weighing ingredients
  • Converting measurements
  • Thinking about timings
  • Comparing shapes and sizes
  • Counting and dividing
  • Eating! (if you bake rock cakes)
