Providing maths activity packs during Covid-19 in 2020/21

The Covid-19 pandemic meant we had to pause our usual face-to-face community sessions. So we adapted the way we work to ensure we continue to support as many families as possible to feel positive, empowered and inspired about maths.

We worked with community groups across Camden, Islington and Brent to provide them with printed activity packs to distribute to the families they work with.

Each pack contains a printed selection of our creative maths activities along with felt tips, glue, scissors, card and other extra resources.

By August 2020 our packs had reached over 200 families.

With additional funding from John Lyon’s Charity via the London Community Resource Fund, by summer 2021, we had distributed further packs to 400 families in partnership with community organisations across Camden and Brent.

We worked with THEBP to reach a further 170 families attending schools in Tower Hamlets
