Farewell & Thank You Francesca

Family Maths events - maths of me

Francesca first joined our team in 2014 as a volunteer before becoming our Events & Schools Manager. After 5 years she’s decided to move on and we wish her lots of luck for the future. We’ll miss you!

Here is her farewell message to all the families and communities who have cut, stuck, coloured, measured and crafted with her over the last five years.

“It was about five years ago that I made my first of many (hundreds, thousands?)  tetrahedron out of straws. Since then I have had the privilege of delivering creative maths with schools, community partners, museums and of course libraries.

The 3-year residency at Pancras Square Library has been a real highlight and it has been a pleasure to work with so many families from Camden and beyond. Some of you came along as a group who already enjoyed maths together, but for lots of you it was the first time you had engaged in creative maths as a family. Either way, through colouring, making and exploring maths openly, you have all seen through experience how maths can be really fun!

Thank you for your enthusiasm, questions, comments and lovely feedback – but most of all thank you for keeping coming back! I am moving on to pastures new but Maths on Toast’s residency at Pancras Square Library is staying put and the team look forward to welcoming you to an event soon.”
