So, we’re at Bletchley Park this autumn where we’ll be running three different workshops for families, on October 4th, 11th and 18th and November 8th, 15th and 22nd.
Festival of Triangles, making, doing and general fun, is the first. Then – because Bletchley Park is the home of the codebreakers – we’ve been working with the Bletchley Park team to devise a workshop about codes and conundrums, including a visit from the Enigma Machine. And finally, we’re running a session about games and the secret maths inside so many of them.
Our sessions are always about maths, but these ones have even more of a special mathsy feel, with visits from people who use maths in some pretty cool jobs who will be explaining how it underlies bridges, animation, and computer games.
And we’ll be asking people for their tips on helping kids with maths, and collecting them to share back! Whether or not you can make it you can submit an idea in the form below, we’d love to hear from you.
