We’re delighted to welcome Alison McLachlan to our team. Alison will be delivering our Maths on Toast Community Champion Programme – sharing our creative, hands-on, fun approach to maths with family learning practitioners in Scotland.
With a background in community development and environmental studies, she has worked in a variety of adult education and community roles – all linked to learning and has experience in developing numeracy and environmental resources. She came across Maths on Toast by chance through an Erasmus project event where our Advisor and Patron Professor Alison Clark-Wilson was a keynote speaker. She says, “What she said to me made sense and I wanted to find out more, so I did! In partnership with another organisation, I was able to source funding to organise Maths on Toast training in Scotland.”
Now, Alison is ready to share what she found out, and what we all love about Maths on Toast!
“I like the colour, creativity and fun that is part and parcel of Maths on Toast training and resources. It is also really nice to collaborate with different practitioners and organisations in a new and engaging way.”
What is she looking forward to? Learning and then sharing the Miura Fold!
