Summer Fun with the Maths Mates

Maths Mates Assemble!

Ahoy me hearties! The Maths Mates are back in 2021! Join them for a fun-filled summer of hands-on creative maths activities.

Time Turtle, Decimal Dog and the rest of the Maths Mates crew return for another round of exciting adventures throughout July and August – this time round they’ll be helping to clean up our oceans and beaches.

What is Summer Fun with the Maths Mates?

It’s a creative maths programme with a fun pirate adventure theme. There are lots of activities to try including craft, construction, puzzles, baking, maps and games. The activities all have different themes and explore a range of mathematical ideas.

How does it work?

We’ll be releasing a new activity every Monday over the summer as part of our Summer Fun with the Maths Mates 2021 programme, starting Monday 19th July.

It is ideal for families to use at home during the summer holidays. Play leaders running holiday clubs or summer schemes for children can also use the activities.

Where can I find all the activities?

Links to each new activity will be posted below. We’ll be posting activities weekly so you can do one each week, or save a few up to do together! You can also access them via our Activities & Resources page, along with lots of other creative maths activities to keep you busy this summer.

Can I send you a picture of my creation?

Yes please! We love to see the creative maths you do at home. Send us photos by sharing them on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram – tagging @mathsontoast or email to info@mathsontoast.org.uk
